The group already has considerable scrolls that will certainly live up to its history: from an in-depth collection of clothing, and here the artistic director Alexandre Rodrigues' merit and effort are highlighted in the research and reproduction of costumes, whose shortage of times and resistance of some "old people of the rest" insisted on falling by the wayside; the recovery of the classic repertoires of the old folk groups of MonteVerde and Livramento, as well as some collections made.

The Group has already toured nationally, in addition to these, participated in other international and national festivals, organized by Madeira Island Folklore Groups, such as the European Folklore Week, organized by the Boa Nova Folklore and Ethnographic Group , the Ponta do Sol International Folklore Festival, organized by the Casa do Povo Folklore Group of Ponta do Sol, the Regional Folklore Festival “48 Horas a Bailar”, organized by the Casa do Povo de Santana Folklore Group.

The group also promotes other activities, such as “Cantar os Reis”, popular marches, popular festivals, etc.

Another edition of Funchal Folk - Arraial do Mundo was held between the 19th and 23rd of August, in which groups from Spain (Canary Islands), Ecuador, Lithuania, Latvia, Mexico, Poland and Portugal participated. In this edition, the groups presented at Largo do Colégio, in a parade starting at Largo do Colégio and ending in front of the Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias. They also performed in the churchyard of the Church of the Imaculado Coração de Maria and some even had the opportunity to perform in the Monte Palace Madeira Gardens. This event culminated in the Manuel Ferreira Pio International Folklore Gala, on the 23rd, which took place at Cais 8.

Participation in Festifolk, which took place in Ponte de Sôr between the 23rd and 27th of July. On this trip, we still had time to travel to Fátima.

Participation in the VILLA DE INGENIO INTERNATIONAL FOLKLORE FESTIVAL MUESTRA SOLIDARIA DE LOS PUEBLOS, which took place between July 25th and August 1st, 2023, on the Island of Gran Canaria

Participation in the II CIOFF Portugal Gala, held at the Convento de São Francisco, in Coimbra. This Gala was also attended by CIOFF representatives from the South European Sector.

Participation in the Festival do Rio, between the 25th of July and the 2nd of August. This Festival takes place in Barcelinhos, Portugal.

Participation in the 1st Raya International Folklore Festival, Spain, which took place between the 21st and 25th of July.

Participation in the commemorative program of the Day of Portugal, Camões and the Portuguese Communities, produced by RTP, in Parque de Santa Catarina, Funchal

18-08-2017 - VIIth International Gala of Ethnography and Folklore Manuel Ferreira Pio, with the theme “The Madeira Wine” (that ended up not being realized due to the tragedy that occurred in Monte on August 15). In previous years, the great size of this Festival and the diversification of cultures and traditions of other peoples, we have made known to the people of Madeira and to the tourists, dances, traditional games, costumes, songs and traditional touches of the various world cultures. The Group also counts with the presence on board of ships as an integral part of their animation in the AIDA cruise network.

17 and 31 July 2017 - Tour to Greece and Bulgaria, where we participated in several International Folklore Festivals.

On May 14, 2016, he launched the collection of postcards entitled "Já os antigos diziam", on the commemorative date of the day of Freguesia do Monte.

On April 30, 2016 MonteVerde Folklore Group participated in the IPC SwimmingEuropean Open Championships Funchal, aswell as in the soap opera of SIC “Queen of Flowers” during the celebration of the Flower Festival.

In 2015, the Group returned to Spain and to an international festival this time in Tenerife in the Canary Islands.

In 2014, the MonteVerde Folklore Group participated in its first international folklore festival outside Portuguese territory, specifically, the 47th edition of the Folkloreen el Mediterráneo Festival held in Murcia-Spain.

On August 9, 2012, during the opening ceremony of the 2nd International Gala of Ethnography and Folklore Manuel Ferreira Pio with the theme "Gastronomy", the group released its first CD with the name “Anda Comigo Maria Ver Senhora do Monte ”.

Since 2011, the MonteVerde Folklore Group has held the International Ethnography and Folklore Gala "Manuel Ferreira Pio", a fair and deserved tribute to its founder.

On February 14, 2002, Ms. Natividade Mendonça, husband and some children, worked hard to recover the then extinct group. They were winding paths, fierce struggles, to grant Monte a group that would dignify and authenticate Monte's traditional popular culture.

On November of 1973, moved by a series of adversities, the group ceases its activity.

In 1967, Manuel Ferreira Pio, assisted by a group of people related to folklore and traditions, founds, in Levada da Corujeira, a grouping of folklore with the name MonteVerde. This group exhibited at various Island events, including aboard ships, hotels and public facilities.
